A Glimpse Beyond. The Meridiano 13 Experience

Abstract

In 2022, Meridiano 13 was born—a website dedicated to in-depth coverage of everything beyond the 13th meridian, which runs near Trieste and marks Italy’s eastern border. From the Balkans to Russia, passing through the Caucasus and the post-Soviet space, the Meridiano 13 editorial team recounts the past and present events of a part of Europe too often stereotyped. With competence and seriousness, the project has provided over the years a deeper key to understanding, going beyond easy banalizations. This has allowed it to forge important alliances with some of the most authoritative entities in the Italian and international landscape.
