Abstract

This paper presents the experience of the course ‘Skills for Entering the World of Work and the Interdisciplinary Method’, which forms part of the Bachelor’s Degree programme in Tourism Studies at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. A learning workshop guided by a transformative and narrative approach to career guidance, combining visual metaphors, biographical interviews (with entrepreneurs, managers, professionals and start-up founders), reflective journaling and collaborative project work. A learning programme developed within the tourism sector, chosen for its unique characteristics that lend themselves to a transformative career guidance experience: high multidisciplinary complexity, the sector’s dynamic nature, the diversity of possible career paths and the crucial importance of interpersonal skills.
