This essay builds upon analytical studies conducted within INAPP’s institutional research on continuing training and skills development. It examines the evolution of microcredentials in Italy (2023–2025), highlighting their integration into lifelong learning, skills certification systems, active labour market policies, and social inclusion strategies. The essay discusses regulatory advances and their implications for policy and practice.
