Yugosfera Digitale: Nuovi Territori Di Mediatizzazione Della Memoria

Abstract

L’articolo analizza la memoria della Jugoslavia socialista nelle ecologie mediali contemporanee, proponendo il concetto di Yugosfera digitale per descrivere l’insieme di spazi online in cui simboli, repertori culturali e narrazioni legate alla SFRJ continuano a circolare dopo la dissoluzione dello Stato. A partire dal quadro teorico dei memory studies e della mediatizzazione della memoria, il contributo dell’articolo consiste nel proporre un modello analitico per studiare la memoria jugoslava online, capace di tenere insieme tre dimensioni principali: le infrastrutture mediali che regolano la visibilità e la circolazione dei contenuti, i repertori culturali attraverso cui il passato viene rielaborato e i soggetti sociali che abitano questi spazi digitali. Il caso jugoslavo mostra come la memoria possa persistere come infrastruttura mnemonica transnazionale anche dopo la dissoluzione dello Stato che l’aveva originariamente istituzionalizzata.
