Abstract

The advent and rapid development of communication technologies are incredibly changing the way we interact with others. If we think about the simple act of making a phone call, those of us and readers who were born in the last century will remember the coin-operated public telephones, the rotary dial for selecting the numbers to call; but they will also remember the effort required to recall those 6-7 numbers that were the contacts of friends, family members.

Author Biography

Eugenio De Gregorio, Link Campus University

Associate Professor at the LINK University of Rome for the scientific field of Social Psychology, a discipline in which he obtained his PhD at La Sapienza University of Rome and has cultivated - over the last twenty years - research interests and collaborations in numerous fields: from the psychology of deviance to research methodology, from community psychology to issues of environmental relevance, from corporate training to social psychological applications in sport, areas for which he is the author of over 100 publications. He is a member of scientific and professional associations, including the European Association of Social Psychology and the Italian Association of Trainers, for which he served as regional vice-president for Liguria. He has always flanked his academic activity with social work in the field. Since 2011, he has been an honorary judge at the Juvenile Court of Genoa and, since 2019, a psychologist at the Genoa District Office for External Criminal Execution (Ministry of Justice). He currently acts as editor and reviewer for international scientific journals, including Frontiers in psychology and Social sciences.
